Wall Posts Character Bio: Well, hello there! I am but a Parson playing his role in the meticulous world God has given us. Although I live in poverty, I am rich in holy thoughts and deeds. I follow my life based on this moral “That if gold rust, what then will iron do? For if a priest be foul in whom we trust, no wonder that a common man should rust…” Location: After meeting 29 other pilgrims and lodging at the Tabard Inn, I am currently traveling to the shrine of the martyr Saint Thomas Becket in Canterbury. Employer: I work for the church and God in spreading Christ’s gospel, and I’m the pastor of a small town. I perform my job to the best of my effort because “The true example that a priest should give, is one of cleanness, how the sheep should live.” The Cook left a comment at 4:18pm: Working hard, or hardly working? Parson, I am in need of assistance! I cooked the dead dog the nun found, and fed it to a few people. I need advice, should I tell her I fed her some of it? Please, respond as soon as possible! I may end up cooking you quite a meal if you do decide to help me. Toodles. (It rhymes with noodles!!) The Wife of Bath left a comment at 8:54pm: A fine night it be dearest Parson. Have I ever thee mentioned that the nice, gentle fellow is a most attractive one. If you find yourself in need of more love than what God offers you already…well then be sure to find me ;). The Summoner left a comment at 2:09am: Hey u *hic* stop makin’ all the other church workur *hic* people look bad! Unless ye’ be lookin’ fer truble!!! U’ll be getting’ whats coming! *hicc* Education: I’m a learned man, clerk to be exact. Marital Status: Being single is not so bad because God loves me, and that’s all the loving I shall ever need. Bigger Thomas left a comment at 10:23am: Parson, what kind of world is this? I’ve been driven to insanity by the racism I’ve seen and experienced. Even after ending up in jail after killing a Caucasian female, I’ve not found absolution. Visit me, for it seems that you may be the only one who may shine light on my actions and I. The Nun left a comment at 7:32am: Another glorious morning it is! Parson, I invite you to come pray with me today if you’re not too busy. I saw a dead dog yesterday, and I couldn’t help but cry. We would certainly include this poor creature in our prayers, if you do attend. † Best of wishes. † The Plowman left a comment at 6:26pm: Hello, beloved brother! I do indeed hope that all is well. I’ve just returned from work since the sun has fallen asleep. What a durable source has our Lord set up in the never-ending sky. Take care, and God bless! Of course I can, especially with God fortifying me. Swear to me that you will answer them all honestly? A priest does not lie and tries to be as honest as can be. Can you commit to one person? Yes, God is and will be the only one I can devote my life to. Are you a mean person? Heavens no! I take a kind approach and respect all individuals. Is there someone who continuously lets you down? Quite the opposite, I aim to not let anyone down. Is there someone you don't want to be out of your life? God. Could you go the rest of your life without drinking alcohol? Yes, and I have been doing it, thank you very much. Who was the last person to comment you? The Cook, and I shall indeed help him in his calamity. Who was the last person you talked to before you went to sleep last night? I prayed to God before going to sleep. Do you miss your past? Certainly, but we must look forward. As time passes, I feel myself becoming more religious, and I love that feeling. Do you get sea sick? I’ve never gone out to sea, perhaps I should! Is life good? Life is the most wonderful, yet precarious thing we’ve been given. Enjoy it :)! Are you in a good mood right now? Certainly. Are you good at hiding your feelings? I express and release all my feelings to the Lord. If I didn’t, then I’d feel rather sinful. Do you always care what you look like? It really does not matter. What were you doing at 7:00 this morning? Eating breakfast and preparing for the day. What were you doing at 11:00 last night? Sleeping, of course. What's something you CANNOT wait for? Christmas! On September 30 The Parson wrote: My, my! We’ve begun our pilgrimage, and I am truly excited. I just know that we shall be given luck from the Son, Father, and the Holy Spirit. My brother, the Plowman, is excited as well. I couldn’t be happier that he is accompanying me on this trip. Hopefully, I’ve made a good first impression on my fellow pilgrims. I shall pray every night before rest so that we do not come across any unwanted trouble. I’m terribly excited!!!! On October 1 The Parson took a quiz: Quiz: Which religion suits you? The Parson’s result: Christianity: Christianity came to being with Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ himself was a Jew, a believer in the God of the Holy Bible. The Christians were his followers. Some Jews, however, did not believe in his teachings, did not believe that he was the savior. That's why Jesus' followers became known as Christians, and the Jews (practicers of Judaism) were those who did not believe that he was the son of God. Christians follow the Ten Commandments. They believe in the Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) which is one God, but made of three parts. Baptism is required to wash past sins away, and repentance is necessary for forgiveness and the admittance to heaven. On October 2 The Parson wrote: Wow! Apparently, the host has established a competition throughout our pilgrimage. Whoever tells the best moral story, will earn a free supper when we return. The losers must pay for the expenses throughout the trip. I dearly hope that I have a shot at winning this competition. Though, I believe I’m forbidden from telling such moral stories. Perhaps I should tell a story regarding the 7 Deadly Sins. I must calm down; after all I’m a Parson who must conduct himself appropriately. I know what I must, pray. Though I shall also pray for everyone else so that we all have an equal opportunity in this contest. The Parson’s Twitter What are you doing? Eating with the fellow pilgrims and resting at the Tabard Inn. We start our pilgrimage soon, and many are full of enthusiasm. What are you doing? Looking for any things I may have forgotten, and also packing because today we set out! Can I hear a "Praise him!"?? What are you doing? Looking at the many faces that we have in our group. There seems to be people of all sorts here. I hope to do my best in helping in any way. What are you doing? Trying to teach the Knight's son, the Squire, some classic hymns, though he doesn't seem to be paying attention. I must have patience... What are you doing? I'm being "mad dogged” by some members of the clergy and I don't know why! The Summoner seems to hate the way I follow the Christian life. What are you doing? Listening to the Host's rules for the competition that is to be held throughout the trip. Some people have a nervous face on, should I be..? What are you doing? Everyone, including I, is listening to the Pardoner's tale. It seems to me that he's a bit on the hypocritical side, this worries me...much.
