Original chassis tag is 18J821. Frame number is FJ987159. This is stamped, not pinpricked
on the correct floor bulkhead frame member. Motor is a 1 litre Cosworth 105E with block
number 105E 88/25. Transaxle is the Renault unit. The car has been restored by J R
Mitchell with only the best parts such as new wheels, Fuel Safe fuel cell within the original
tank, new hub carriers and bodywork from Peter Denty. The car would require the engine
to be rebuilt as it seems to be quite stock. If anyone is interested in an authentic, well
restored Lotus 18 let me know – Peter Klein at pklein6050@AOL.com

JAP 4B engine, that was rebuilt in England and has not been used since. Fitted correct
Amal type 27 track carb. This is very colourful, in USA racing colours, chrome shocks and
springs. First owner Mr Lex duPont then passed through various hands including Bob
Fuller of Fuller Brush Company. The Cooper has a very striking custom made trailor, split
tilt bed for one man loading and unloading. This was built from 1950’s photos and
drawings. Fitted tool box, and period Moon spun aluminium wheel discs. Colour the same
blue as the American Colours racing stripe on the car! It has spare bodywork, side fuel
tanks, gearbox, bearings etc, in fact the trailor tool box is half full of spares. Ready to race.
A huge file is included, drawings and manuals for JAP, Amal etc. Correspondance about
the different owners over the years, copies of race reports in the 1950’s and 60’s with
photos. We feel it stands out from the normal UK Coopers that are Black, Maroon, BRG
or dark Blue, but that of course could work against it. Complete with all the spares and
trailor £25,000. Contact Roger Cowman at rcowman@rcrmi.com or Barry Hodson at
