UF GATOR JAZZ BAND AUDITIONS!
(Open to all University of Florida college students!)
WHEN: Held Wednesday (December 9th). NOTE: Do not audition before your jury.
TIME: 6:00pm to 10:30pm in my office (MUB 201). Sign up on the audition sheet located near
the jazz band rehearsal hall in the Music Building.
LOCATION: Located on the second floor of the School of Music (opposite side of the music
library). You can also get there by entering the jazz band rehearsal hall (on 2nd floor).
LATE AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD:
WHEN: Held Thursday (January 7th) & Monday (January 11th)
TIME: 44:00pm to 6:00pm in Steinbrenner Band Hall. Sign up on the audition sheet located
near the jazz band rehearsal hall in the Music Building.
LOCATION: Steinbrenner Hall
REHEARSALS & SECTIONALS
What time do the bands rehearse?
1st Jazz Band - 4:00pm - 6:00pm Tuesday and Thursday in the Steinbrenner (Sectionals will be held for one hour
on Friday sometime from 4:00pm to 6:00pm if possible).
2nd Jazz Band - 4:00pm to 6:00pm on Friday. (Sectionals will be held for one hour on Tuesday and Thursday
sometime from 4:00pm to 6:00pm if possible).
Start your jazz education now so you attain the commercial playing and
writing skills needed to participate in today’s music industry and
performance venues!
