The Ansel Capstone 24t is a 24-port Fast Ethernet
switch used to increase port density in a Layer 2/3
NuWave Architecture stack, giving you all the
performance and modularity of a high-pricedchassis
system in an economical, stackable design.
The Ansel Capstone 24t and NPI’s Ansel Keystone
24mg stack master canbe used to build a four-unit
stack that scales from 48 to 96 ports, ideal for the
rapidly changing needs of growing companies. One
Ansel Capstone 24t and one Ansel Keystone 24mg,
both with 24 full duplex, auto-negotiating
10/100Base-TX ports, create a 48-port stack. Add two
more Ansel Capstone 24t switches for a 96-port
stack.
You create higher density stacks by simply adding
more Ansel Capstone units -- either the Ansel
Capstone 24t or the Ansel Capstone 8f , an 8-port
fiber version. Mix or match any combination of up to
three of these switches with one Ansel Keystone
24mg. Regardless of the models you choose, this
stack master sees and manages all Ansel Capstone
switch ports as if they were built directly into the
Ansel Keystone 24mg chassis.

Management
• Spanning Tree
• RMONv1 - Groups 1,2,3,9
• SNMPv1 including MIB-II, Etherlike MIB, Bridge MIB and a private MIB
to control VLANs, Routing and Quality of Service
High-Speed Stacking Interface Each Ansel
Capstone switch connects to the master over a highspeed interface that keeps all switch ports available
for network connections, and ensures that packets are
transferred at wire speed, without blocking, on all
ports throughout the stack.
• Monitor traps, generate trap events, trap filtering and logging
This separate 8Gbps stacking interface connects each
slave switch directly to the Ansel Keystone 24mg’s
64Gbps switching fabric, dedicating 6Gbps of
bandwidth to packet data and sending management
and control information over a separate 2Gbps link.
• Field upgradable firmware with TFTP
• Control network access by time of day for protocol types, VLANs, groups
of IP or MAC addresses or by port
• Suspend and resume operation for maintenance and upgrade
• Security extensions including password entry, access lists by IP address,
configurable SNMP SET behavior
• Supports HTTP, HTML and JAVA
• Security levels for in-band and out-of-band management
