All major quiz, test, and project tests are listed on the syllabus (occasional pop (song) quizzes may be added).This is a great handout to print, especially if the student is working with a tutor or if the student likes to work ahead. Also, there is a list of “tutors” on my webpage if your student is having a hard time grasping the concepts. Tardies, Truancies, Dishonesty, Attendance, & Dress Code Violation Please refer to the WHS Student Planner; I will adhere to the WHS consequences outlined in this planner for: unexcused tardies, truancies, cheating, and inappropriate class attire. Make-up Policy STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING UP ANY HW, CW, PROJECT, AND/OR TEST(S) (DURING LUNCH OR AFTER SCHOOL) if they are absent. STUDENTS must make an appointment in order to make up a quiz or exam during MY OFFICE HOURS within a week of missing a test or an exam. Assignments are listed on my website (listed above). Q Connection, Cell Phones, Department Exams, (NO) Extra Credit Assignments & Other Noteworthy Policies: Grades are posted on Q Connection (obtain username and password in counseling office) Do not ask me what your grade is since I post grades to Q Connections (I do not give instant results) Cell phones will be set on the board during test days and when we pass back exams to review Chapter tests are recycled, therefore are NOT allowed to be taken home (Dept. policy) Tests will not be returned unless all students have made up the test All projects are due on the due date, No Exceptions (“Printer was out of ink” notes will not be accepted, please prepare ahead of time or email me a copy of accomplished work before deadline—emailing will only be excepted one time) NO Extra Credit Assignments are assigned (Small points are issued per teacher’s discretion) If you were present when I assigned a project, quiz date or test date, you must turn it in or take the quiz/test whether you were absent the day before or not. One absence does not excuse you from doing it or taking an assessment; however, if you were absent three days during the week then you are exempt from taking the weekly quiz/test and must make it up the following week. **Throughout the next year we will share many experiences together and I hope all of these experiences will be enjoyable. In order for us to maximize each class period and have the best experience possible, it is necessary that certain rules and policies be established, followed, and enforced. These expectations are not designed to restrict you or inhibit your ability to feel comfortable in my class; rather, if you are consistent in following these rules, you will see that the learning environment in this classroom will enable you to be successful in learning Spanish.
