Criteria for passing a course This is a policy to provide consistency but the ultimate decision lies with the course director. A “major exam” is defined by the course director. When calculating final grade the original test score is what counts and not the score of any make-up exam. Add that the final determination of the grade is at the discretion of the course director. The retake exam (remediation) can be a “similar” multi-choice or oral exam. Final grades cannot be released until all tests are done. Gwen Sancar will modify this draft and send via email within the next month to the committee.
