WELL DONE Chris Timewell on VIC MASTERS success 4 gold, 2 silver, & 3 bronze
with a few pb's to boot a great effort by him. Also Leigh Browell added 2 gold, 4 silver &
3 bronze to SOUTH'S tally with a few pb's. And good luck Leigh in Port Pirie later this
month.
PERTH MASTERS : Paul Rance won 2 silver medals.
CLUB BBQ FUNDRAISER
The club held another successful BBQ at Champions IGA in Long Gully in March,
raising a total of $326.35. BBQ $238.50 and Raffle $87.85. Winners of the raffle: 1st $50
hamper Cheryl Worne, 2nd $15 Easter Basket Annette Curtis, 3rd $12 Good Loaf Bakery &
chocolates Glen Woodhatch, 4th $12 Goodloaf Bakery & chocolates Culpitt Family.
Thankyou to all who helped out on the day and we hope that Peter C jnr. has
overcome his bad attack of the flu and was unable to help….
ATHLETICS BENDIGO T&F PRESENTATIONS – LUBAC Friday 9th at 7pm
Rising Star and Athlete of the Year Awards will be presented, along with aggregate awards.
CROSS COUNTRY
Cross Country commences this Saturday with the first run to be held at Golf Course
Road, Epsom. Races will commence at 1.30pm with the 5000m & 3000m, followed by 800m
then 1500m. Everyone come along to enjoy a friendly run in the bush. Anyone wishing to
donate a raffle prize during the season please see Annette on Saturday.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The club’s AGM will be held on 4th May at the R.F.Turner Pavilion Napier Street.
Also the SBAC is currently updating their Constitution and it shall be discussed at a Special
meeting prior to the AGM in May. If you are interested please contact Greg or Carol and they
will forward an electronic copy to you.
Everyone welcome to come along, to elect office bearers and to discuss any matters or
concerns you may have.
This months General Meeting has been postponed until next Monday 12th April,.
Monthly meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month for anyone wishing to
attend.
Tim Driesen won open hammer at Vic Champs last week with 66.82m. Tonight
in Canberra he threw several Commonwealth B qualifiers with the best throw being
68.51m
