Diagnostic Summary
Document diagnostic steps taken. Include diagnostic tools used.
I powered on each x3450 server. The POST screen for 18 of the 19 x3450 servers
is the same, so I only attached one to this document.(* the only difference with the
19th one is the amount of memory.) I went into the BIOS setup for each server and
took 3 screen shots for every server. The first BIOS screen shows the Machine Type,
Model, and Serial Number for each of the x3450 servers. The second BIOS screen
shows the server processor(type, speed, and quantity) and amount of memory
contained in each x3450. The third BIOS screen shows there is one 250GB SATA
hard drive in each server. There is a Voltaire 500Ex-D dual-port Infiniband HCA in
each server. I have listed the serial number for the HCA along with the x3450 it is
installed in.
I powered on the Voltaire Infiniband switch. I did not see a fault light on any of the
components.
There is a flat-panel monitor with a keyboard installed in this rack as well.
Document cosmetic condition of asset. Include exterior and interior summary.
The left, side, top cover has a minor dent in the middle of it. There are some minor
scratches on the left side cover as well. I did not see any damage to any components
in the rack.
Receiving and Storage Summary
Received the asset referenced in this checklist on 12-15-08. The asset was logged into the Inventory
Management System and stored in a climate controlled warehouse. A detailed component level inventory
and printed screen shots are provided within this document and in the Inventory Management System.
