Rules of Cascade Tournament
1)
On every hole, each team member may hit a tee shot. The team then selects one of the tee shots from which to play. All team
members may then hit from that position. This procedure is repeated until the ball is holed. Play from the Blue tees. Women From
Red tees.
2) No minimum tee shots required by players (Different from past years).
3) Each team member may place his or her ball within one club-length of the selected shot, no nearer to the hole. If the selected shot is
played from a hazard, bunker, rough, second cut of rough, fairway or fringe of the green, the ball may be placed within one club-length of the
selected shot, no nearer to the hole, but it must remain in the hazard, bunker, rough, second cut of rough, fairway or fringe of the green.
4) When putting the ball must be placed within one putter head length of the selected shot, no nearer to the hole. Teams are cautioned not to
make tap-ins until all team members have had the opportunity to make the team’s original putt. Once the ball is holed out, no further strokes
are permitted.
5) Playoff: In the case of a tie for first there will be a play off on #12 or putt off depending on time. The holes and distance will be chosen
by the official scorekeeper. Lowest combined gross score of two players from each team will be the deciding factor. In a putt off closest to
the hole will be the deciding factor. Tie breakers for other places will be decided starting with the #1 handicap hole, continuing to #18
handicap until one team scores better than the other. In the case of more than two teams tied this process will be run until a team is eliminated
then repeated until the tie is broken.
6) Long Drives. The drive must be in the fairway to qualify as a longest drive. Drives that are in bunkers, rough, or hazards will
not count. The long drive on #13 can be on the green.
7) Closest to the pin. The ball must be on the green to qualify. Balls that are on the fringe will not count.
7.5) The closest to the pin on par 5 will be on the 16th hole. The ball must be on the green in 2 shots. Ball must be on green.
8) This year we will also have a longest drive on #13. This ball can be on the green.
9) The maximum score on any given hole is 10.
White Stakes
10) Shots that go out of bounds and are found can be dropped one club length in bounds for a penalty of one stroke. Balls that are not found
must take one penalty stroke for out of bounds and one penalty stroke for the lost ball. You may drop from point of entry. Ex: Drive would
be hitting four
Red Stakes
11) Shots that enter hazards that are marked with red stakes may be shot from point of entry with a one stroke penalty. Ex: Drive would be
hitting three
12) Money Ball. Each team will be given a special ball that must be passed around the group after each hole. The group or groups
that still have their ball at the end of the round will get the prize or enter a drawing.
12)
Please sign scorecards and turn them into the pro shop immediately after finishing so she can post them on the board and
record the scores.
13)
Playoff Rules: In the event of a tie there will be a playoff on the par three next to the yurt area. (#12). Two players from each team
will tee off using a 2 man best ball format. In the event of a tie on the hole the team with a closer shot to the pin (must be on green) wins.
