Curriculum Development
Minor in Enterprise Information Systems (Fall 2012) – Designed and implemented a cross disciplinary minor
with courses from ITP in the areas of Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Accounting, Information and
Operations Management.
Minor in Web Technologies and Applications (Spring 2001) - Successfully helped in developing the Web
Technologies and Applications (WTA) minor: Major contribution in creating the curriculum and implementation of
several new courses for this new minor. Streamlining the administration of the minor, assessing instructional
facilities, coordinating instructors, and promoting the minor.
SAP Specialization (2005 – present) – USC is one of the first Universities to be join the SAP University Alliance
in 1996. Since then ITP has developed and delivered a leading specialization in SAP for all University students.
With an offering of a wide variety of both breadth and depth classes in SAP, ITP attracts students from Engineering
as well as Business backgrounds. Developed and updated several classes for the SAP specialization by including
innovative curricula and the latest developments in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Faculty Curriculum Coordinator (Fall 1997 – Fall 2011) - Created, monitored, and updated several ITP courses,
ITP minors. Attended Engineering, University curriculum committees and interdepartmental meetings to propose
and implement new ITP courses.

Supervisory Experience
1997-1999 Faculty Coordinator: Los Angeles Retraining Program and Employment Training Panel, Integrated
Media Systems Center, USC under the leadership of Director Prof. C.L. Max Nikias.
Coordinated several programs to retrain displaced professionals in the field of Multimedia Design and creation.
Recruited instructors, lab managers, and technical assistants to facilitate the retraining. The programs yielded in a
75% re-employment rate. Programs were funded by the City of Los Angeles and by the Employment Development
Department, State of California.

Current position as Senior Lecturer at ITP involves not only teaching classes but also assisting the Director in
various areas –
 Collaboration with Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering ISE: To identify, design
and deliver IT related courses that supplement ISE undergraduate education.

Collaborations with other academic departments: Promoting ITP courses to targeted student
population on campus. Assessing the needs of other academic departments in the area of IT to help
create programs to supplement their curriculum.

General advisement: Help students all over campus choose courses within ITP, take various
specializations and minors at ITP; explore educational and professional goals.



1998 – First implementation of paperless course delivery and assessment, complete online assignments,
examinations and assessment

2001 – present - Teaching distance education courses through the Distance Education Network DEN

2005 - 2009 - Podcasting select courses for immersive learning

2006 – present – Beta tester for ERPSimulation Game in Fall 2007. Use of ERPSimulation Game to
give students experience in using SAP for competing in a dynamic commodity market. Students are
immersed in a live market where they have to make important managerial, tactical, logistical and
financial decisions in order to maximize company retained earnings while using SAP. The game is now
used in more than 100 Universities worldwide in Business and Engineering programs.

2010 - present – Incorporating cloud based ERP systems in ITP courses. Using the Global SAP
Business ByDesign project to bring on-demand ERP solutions for teaching in the classroom using a
team/role based learning experience.

2012 - ERP in the Cloud: An interuniversity collaborative team based project using SAP Business
ByDesign. Created and implemented a cloud based collaborative project for students from USC and Texas
A&M University. This project was expanded to three Universities in Fall 2012.

2012 - Engineers as Good Neighbors – Led 17 ISE students in ITP 482 in Fall 2012 who
worked as a team to design, build and deliver a database driven website to Los Angeles
Orthopaedic Hospital, a non-profit organization. The CEO of LAOH wants to continue the
project in 2013.
