Enhanced Coaching Performance Program
Level 3/4/5 Enhanced Coaching Bursary Application
The Enhanced Coaching grant provides financial assistance to coaches pursuing a project that will
improve their coaching skills. Examples of projects: work with an expert coach (national/international)
or have an expert coach travel to Ontario to work with the applicant and athletes, travel to a coaching
conference, training camp or to work with a professional in the Sport Science or Technology field.
The maximum grant is $3,000 of which $2,500 must be used for expenses towards the project and a
$500 honorarium, which will be paid to the applicant after follow-up with the PSO and a sharing
opportunity with developing coaches within the sport (i.e. give a presentation at an AGM or in a
community event).
Requirements of the program: Upon Completion of the event the recipient is to submit an expense
form with receipts attached. To be eligible for the sharing honorarium of $500 we must receive
verification that some sharing has taken place within the coaching community in Ontario (newsletter,
AGM, workshop etc), AND submit a 1 page write-up about the event and personal learnings for the
CSI Ontario website.
The project must be completed by March 31st 2014
Eligibility:



Fully certified Level 3/4/5
Ontario Resident
Coach in a sport that participates in one of the following three multi-sport games:
o The 2014 Olympic/Paralympic Winter Games, or the 2015 Pan Am Games, 2016
Olympic/Paralympic Summer Games
o The 2013 Canada Summer Games or the 2015 Canada Winter Games
o The Ontario Games (youth)
