this weekend due to the participation in the

NINTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
Can-Can Cancer Support Group meets at St. Philip’s
Episcopal Church, Canterbury Room every 1 st and 3rd Thursday
of the month. Offering: information, encouragement, and hope.

ST. GREGORY’’S – SHAWNEE - SUMMER 2008
Preliminary information is as follows:
July 11-13: Abbot Lawrence will present a retreat based
on the “Themes of Pope Benedict’s First Two Encyclicals
on Hope and Love”.
August 1-3: Father Charles will present a retreat based on
“Telling the Truth: The Gospel as Tragedy, Comedy and
Fairy Tale” based on the book written by Freidrich
Buechner.

In the May 25th, Sooner Catholic Newspaper an article
SPONSOR OF THE WEEK
was written about Wes Weaver receiving the honor of Eagle
Scout.
His project was to design and supervise the
construction of a 112-foot bridge at Lake Murray State Park.
CASA ROMO RESTAURANT
Wes chose the length of the bridge to honor his troop (#112),
which is sponsored by the “Men of St. Mary”.
Also in the same paper Catholic Foundation Awards
College scholarships were listed and Daniel Mannas and Alan
McCall were recipients of this scholarship for 2008-09
