Michael Helm serves as Project Manager with over thirteen years experience in the hazardous
waste management field. He is responsible for field remediation services including the safe and

Loctite: Project Manager/Chemist. Two-ton laboratory waste pack. Remove, decontaminate, and
ship eight–twenty thousand gallon chemical storage tanks.
Carr America/Tysson Dover: Project Manager. Design and build six underground auto pump
systems eliminating all ground level floods.
Samsonite: Project Manager. Plant shut down and Remediation.
Lucent Technologies: Project Manager. Plant shut down and Remediation.
Bolder Technologies: Project Manager for lead contaminated equipment disposal (approximately
80 cubic yards) and chemical lab pack consisting of approximately 48 containers and/or 8,000
pounds.
Gold Peak: Project Manager for the decontamination of process equipment contaminated with
lead, decontamination of specific site structures contained in the Gold Peak facility. Lead
Chemist for the 37,000 pound waste disposal project. Senior Site Safety Officer and author of the
Site Safety Plan, with environmental safety control over all contractors and contractors
employees.
Marathon Ashland Petroleum PTC Facility: Project Manager for the Remediation of the
Littleton, CO Mineral Research Laboratory Campus. Remediation included all PCB
contamination, Mercury Contamination, RCRA 8 Metals Contamination, VOC Contamination,
and Impacted Soils excavation.
Nicor Gas: Project Manager for the Remediation of 3700 facilities (primarily residential) which
had been contaminated with Mercury. Nicor Gas employees removed thousands of Gas
Regulators from homes throughout the Chicago City limits, in doing so released Elemental
Mercury in over 90% of the homes that were serviced. Over a three month period we remediate
and decontaminated several hundred of these facilities. Sampling and random audits proved that
the techniques used by our technicians yielded a 100% accuracy rating.
Tri-County Health Department: Clandestine Methamphetamine Drug Lab Clean up and
Biological waste handling.
City of Denver: Clandestine Methamphetamine Drug Lab Clean up and Biological waste
handling. Crime Scene clean up.
United States Department of the Interior / Bureau of Reclamation: Project Manager for the
remediation of four PCB contaminated oil storage tanks.

remediation, packaging, transportation, and recycling of Mercury. 295 pounds of Mercury was
removed from multiple hanging Manometers at the Twin Lakes Power Plant and Sugar Loaf Dam

MARK SAMPSON
GENERAL MANAGER
Mark Sampson joined Environmental Demolition, Inc. (EDI) on February 4, 2008 as its General
Manager. His primary duties include bottom line responsibility for business development,
estimating, project design, project management, safety and regulatory compliance, quality
assurance, supervisor and worker training, and warehouse operations. Mark will ensure that
EDI’s customers receive the finest asbestos abatement, HazMat remediation, lead abatement,
microbial remediation and restoration services available in this market.
Mark’s experience in the environmental contracting industry includes:







Supervision of a Construction Management Division responsible for management of all
asbestos abatement in the Washington, D.C. public school system under a multi-million
dollar contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Management of $1 million + of asbestos abatement, lead abatement, PCB abatement,
microbial remediation and selective demolition at the Pentagon as a subcontractor to several
major general contracting firms of the Department of Defense Pentagon Renovation Program.
Management of multiple microbial remediation and asbestos abatement projects at Walter
Reed Army Medical Center as a prime contractor and subcontractor.
Management of $1 million + of asbestos abatement, lead abatement and microbial
remediation at Marine Corps Base Quantico as a prime contractor to the Marine Corps
Combat Command and subcontractor to Shaw Beneco, Inc.
Management of multiple asbestos abatement, lead abatement, PCB abatement, microbial
remediation, selective demolition, and restoration projects for the National Capitol Region
General Services Administration – Fire, Safety and Environmental Health Division and the
Department of Defense in facilities such as the GSA Central Office Building, Commerce
Building, State Department, Central Heat Plant, Veterans Building, Washington Navy Yard,
White House and residence of the Vice President of the United States.
Management of hundreds of asbestos abatement, HazMat remediation, lead abatement,
microbial remediation, HVAC system cleaning/restoration, selective demolition, building
demolition and restoration projects in the Minneapolis-St. Paul, Washington, D.C., and
Denver metropolitan areas in: public and private primary, secondary and higher education
facilities; public and private health care facilities; public and private housing; and a wide
variety of commercial, industrial and manufacturing facilities.
Mark has worked in the Colorado environmental industry since July of 2003, estimating and
managing numerous successful high-profile projects, including asbestos-contaminated soils
remediation at the Former Stapleton International Airport for the City and County of Denver,
Department of Aviation with a contract value exceeding $8 million.

Project: Decontaminate for transformer oil tanks, install ladder system and chemically
extract PCB’s from one 10,000 gallon tank and three Non-PCB tanks. Level “B”
containment with supplied air and Confined Space protocols, including self permitting
and constant atmosphere monitoring. Final Clearance samples were taken per the
EPA’s PCB debris guidelines and proved that the chemical extraction process worked.
