SYNTHESIS OF MODIFIED POLYHEDRAL OLIGOMERIC SILSEQUIOXANE (POSS) BY SEQUENTIAL-CLICK
REACTIONS AND ITS APPLICATIONS, Research Assistant in Dr. Chao Gao’s Group in Key Laboratory of
Macromolecular Synthesis and Functionalization, Ministry of Education, Dept. of Polym. Sci. Eng., ZJU

Came up with a new concept in this project: Sequentially Triple Click-Chemistry Reactions, which is
quick, atomically economic and easy to be purified

Constructed a platform with good potential of application: Anti-Bacteria, Encapsulation of Dyes, Delivery
of Drugs and DNA, Catalysis, etc.

Expanded this platform by synthesizing several analogues modified with different groups and analyzed
their structures


Tested and found the excellent performance in the encapsulation of several dyes using one of the analogues,
and investigated its mechanism with several techniques

Tried to synthesize a well-defined double helical polycarbodiimides linked by convalent bonds in order to
make a DNA mimic structure 每个实验都是要 try 的。。。直接 synthesized 就好。客观描述，主观类
的词语少用。
Explored several unknown reactions of synthesizing monomers, most of which get good results but the
synthesis of a key monomer failed
Adjusted the initial single-click routine to a double-click routine using α,α’-diazido-1,4-xylene as a
linker, worked but needed further optimization


Got plenty of training in Operating machines of NMR, FTIR, TGA, DSC and adept in analyzing their
spectrum or diagraph
STUDY ON TOTAL SYNTHESIS OF MANNOPEPTIMYCINS, Project Leader, Students Research Training Program
in ZJU,worked in Dr. Bingfeng Shi’s Group, ZJU Dept. of Chem

Tried two new C-H activation reactions in this key segment of cyclic peptide so as to synthesize it
enantio-selectively and quantitatively

Tried almost a whole semester to optimize the C-H activation, and got high diastereoselectivity and some
improvement in final yield

Synthesized many starting materials to optimize the previous reaction and got α- and/or γ- amino
protected L-Orn with several different protection groups and studied the way of de-protection

Got really skilled in Column Chromatography, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR analyzing, and many other organic
synthesis lab techniques
