Salary Range
$55,000 - $65,000 plus benefits
Position Summary: The Director of High Performance is responsible for the operations of the SNS High
Performance program. The pinnacle of the program is the Canadian Soccer Association licensed REX
program of which the incumbent will serve as the head coach in training the top female talent in Nova
Scotia. The Director will also be the head coach of the planned Skill Development Centre that will serve to
train the top male talent in Nova Scotia.
Duties and Responsibilities
 In alignment with the CSA High Performance Program, plan, implement and oversee the
operational plan and budget for the Soccer Nova Scotia REX and Skill Development Centre
 Head Coach of REX and Skill Development Centre
 Develop, implement and manage an annual operating plan and budget for the SNS Provincial AllStar Program
 Develop, implement and manage an annual operating plan and budget for the SNS Winter High
Performance Program
 Develop and maintain strong relations and regular communications with CSA Technical staff,
Regional TD’s and/or club head coaches, Canadian Sport Centre Atlantic, Sport Nova Scotia, USA
and Canadian universities, professional clubs and academies in Canada
 Provide leadership and guidance to clubs on the development of technical programs
 Oversee the technical direction of the Nova Scotia Soccer League’s Player Development Divisions
 Sit as a member of the SNS LTPD Committee
 Other tasks as required and agreed between Director of High Performance , Chair of the LTPD
Committee and CEO
Competencies & Skills Required








Minimum National B Coaching License with National A preferred
A proven track record in the training and development of High Performance soccer players
Knowledge of the Canadian Soccer Association’s Long Term Player Development (LTPD) model
Experience managing technical budgets and associated cost management and reporting
Strong communications skills and an ability to convey technical planning to players and parents
Extremely organized and self-motivated
Excellent computer skills to develop presentations, plans and proposals
A thorough understanding of the women’s game and its trends
Other
 CPIC clearance
 Possess a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
 Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
