submitted for financing to M.A.N.R.E. (Agricultural Development Plan 2007-20013) and comment
on their technical and environmental feasibility.

Environmental and sustainable studies.

Conservation of plant genetic resources.

Preparation and implementation of Research, Structural, Cohesion and other programmes to be
submitted to European Union (E.U.).

Expert Evaluators for research proposals on agriculture, food quality and safety and
environmental issues submitted to E.U., Marie Curie and other Institutions.

Evaluation of existing agricultural development and research programmes.

Services as consultants to the FAO, World Bank, European Union, Common Fund for
Commodities, private companies, enterprises and farmers.

Organization of Regional and International Meetings, Conferences, Seminars.

Training (on-the-job training, international study tours, training courses for extension scientists,
technicians and farmers). Food quality and safety, especially with regard to pesticide residues.
Protection of the environment. Development of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and
Integrated Crop Management (ICM) systems in various crops, based on various combinations of
ecosystem-oriented methods, i.e. biological control, cultural practices, natural products, resistant
varieties and rootstocks etc.
SME is defined as an enterprise which: 1) has less than 250 employees, 2) has either, an annual turnover not
exceeding 50 million Euro or an annual balance-sheet total not exceeding 43 million Euro, 3) it is autonomous.
Please, note that these three conditions are cumulative.
