“I am honored to be asked to serve another term as president of the Page Society,”
MacDonald said, “and I look forward to continuing our efforts to increase the Page
Society’s influence as a thought leader, to expanding our membership globally, and to launching a new Future Leaders Program that will help prepare future chief communications officers for leadership. We have also launched a new initiative to examine and improve the membership experience.
“We continue to benefit from the dedicated expertise of our members, who volunteer considerable time on committees and task forces to bring these initiatives to reality. I’d like to thank the trustees in particular for their generosity with both time and talent.
“I would like to offer special recognition to Ann Barkelew, who is stepping down as a trustee at the end of this year after 15 years on the board. Ann’s contributions to the
Page Society during this period are unsurpassed. She chaired an annual conference, another committee and a task force and served on numerous others. Her leadership was instrumental in establishing the Page Society’s diversity initiative and the Executive
Forum. Ann received the P age Society’s prestigious Distinguished Service Award in
2003. Although we will miss Ann’s service on the board, we are delighted that we will continue to benefit from her experience and wisdom through her service on several committees,” MacDonald said.
