Livemusic.fm was founded by music industry heavy-weights with a goal to promote new & exciting artists through the medium of live music. In essence the venture has centred around a live music based community and an e-commerce gig ticketing service. As such the requirement has extended far beyond the remit of a traditional creative director and embraced elements of digital and offline strategy, marketing, audience research and the live music events themselves. In addition this has involved working very closely with the technical delivery team and motivating and mentoring the wider, and varied team members. The Creative team at Glass consisted of six team members – an IA, two designers, one Art Director, one AV Director and a Production Assistant – all of whom were managed and directed across the output of Glass projects. Additionally responsible for the design department budgets and developing the AV capability at Glass, which saw the team produce, film & edit video projects for Allen&Overy, Gradu8, Hewitt’s and theSite.org Shift Ltd (New Zealand) June 2004 – March 2006 Art Director Whilst at Shift I was responsible for mentoring junior designers, utilising my design and branding expertise on large corporate &/or government website projects, and providing creative leadership on business development projects. I also worked as an Art Director and Brand Strategist for both governmental and commercial clients. Projects work included website development, online promotions, digital branding and running user research groups for the Webby award winning newzealand.com, the Inland Revenue, Te Ara Online Encyclopaedia and Toyota NZ BBC Broadcast (now Red Bee Media) July 2001 – March 2004 Creative Director, New Media Promotions My two key responsibilities as Creative Director at the BBC were the delivery of first class, innovative digital promotions and the long-term creative and strategic development of the New Media department within BBC Broadcast; and to extend the reach of promotions into new areas such as mobile and interactive TV. The Creative Director was responsible for the £800K budget of the New Media team, as well as having direct line management responsibilities for a team of around ten people. Whilst at BBC Broadcast, I worked on a wide variety of digital campaigns promoting BBC interactive content (BBCi), BBC Radio & TV programs and services (including promoting the launch of the BBC Three & BBC Four digital TV channels and BBC6 Music Digital Radio), as well as working on strategic interactive initiatives for UKTv. www.ingozi.com r a z o r f i s h (UK & Italy) July 1999 – May 2001 Experience Director At Razorfish I was in a key position of creative leadership within the company reporting directly to the Creative Director. I was tasked with delivering leading edge digital solutions to clients in a number of countries on a range of different platforms - and in addition mentor a team of designers to progress their skills. The team sizes varied but were between 6 – 12 creatives, including IAs, copywriters and Flash/Interaction designers as well as graphic designers. As an 'Experience Director' I led the interactive end user experience and digital re-branding on projects for large corporations such as the award winning Natwest.com and BP.com. From 1999 - 2001 I worked on sizable internet & extranet projects for Vodafone, Banca Mediolanum, and Medecins Sans Frontiers whilst also working on interactive marketing and promotional related digital projects for Jamie Oliver and the New Millennium Experience Co.
