Louis William DuBourg opened Saint Louis Academy near the present site of the Gateway Arch on the St. Louis river front. The School of Law is guided by the Jesuit tradition of academic excellence, freedom of inquiry and respect for individual differences as students are prepared to achieve professional success and personal satisfaction through leadership and service to others. The law librarians support that mission by offering research services, a faculty liaison program, and research classes in specialty areas such as international and health law. The law library has undergone extensive renovation and reorganization in the past year to enhance our staff's work areas and services. Washington University School of Law occupied Anheuser-Busch Hall in early 1997.
