If you could write a book, what would it be about? 3. What are your expectations of our team? What do you think are the team’s expectations of you? 4. How many cumulative hours do McCombs students spend in Reliant across an entire semester? Format your answer in bullets, with each bullet relating to a step in your thought process. Case Background: Your client is a commercial and residential cleaning company, operating in Houston. They take requests through phone calls and an online website, which is also where they bill and collect payments. They market themselves as "Houston’s premier eco-friendly cleaning service", using organic detergents and cleaning materials. They have rapidly grown in the past two years they have been in business, and have become the number one ranked maid service on Yelp in Houston. Their maids work on a unique basis: they can dictate their own hours, as long as they meet their quota, which is determined by the billings and demand for that month. When demand outstrips labor supply, maids can be brought in on-call and paid overtime. Their margins are quite low, with the majority of the expenses coming from wages payable, the others being cleaning supplies and equipment. They’ve noticed their client growth has been stagnating in the past few quarters, even though their market share in Houston is only around 2530 percent. Case Question (these are guiding questions, feel free to create your own): How can this company increase their revenues for the next fiscal year? Would you change the revenue and cost model? Will you expand? If so, would you expand in Houston or a new city? How? Note: Keep in mind that the client has low margins, and cannot fund a major single expense without taking on debt. Finance Team Supplemental Questions These supplemental questions will serve as an evaluation of your analytical capabilities and will play a vital role in your interview selection. Please pay particular attention to the word limits for each question, which are meant to focus and condense your responses as much as possible while maintaining a coherent analytical structure. You may use bullet points if necessary, but we have to understand your bullet writing. We look forward to reading your application. Good luck and enjoy! 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Look on a dollar bill, and tell us one feature or statement on there that most resembles the element of trust and how. Analyze one stock and explain why it’s a good OR bad investment in 5 bullets or less. On a 6th bullet, tell us how you would invest in it. 6. Will you be able work at least 5 hours a week? Please attach a list of all your commitments and activities this semester, including classes and other orgs. Be sure to identify your priorities (rank from low1-5high).
