Committees of The Women's Fund of Winston-Salem
The Women's Fund of Winston-Salem would not be able to do its work without the involvement of active volunteers who serve
on the committees that guide the work of The Women’s Fund.
Events Committee
This committee is responsible for planning and organizing events, including the Annual Meeting of The Women’s Fund. The
committee seeks members who are interested in planning and carrying out events and those who possess skills in the disciplines of
event coordination and management.
Chair: Amy Leader (amyleander@yahoo.com ) Meets 1st Tuesday of every month at TWF
Finance Committee
This committee is responsible for overseeing all of The Women’s Fund finances. The committee seeks members who possess skills
accounting and financial management.
Chair: Margaret Leinbach (mkleinbach@gmail.com ) No set meeting dates
Grants Committee
This committee designs and implements the grant-making process. The committee seeks members who possess skills in the
disciplines of grant writing, reviewing grants, and the topical areas that are the focus of the grant making.
Chair: Gwenn Clements (gste976965@aol.com ) No set meeting dates
Inclusiveness Committee
This committee is responsible for ensuring the diversity of The Women’s Fund in membership, grant proposals received and grants
awarded. The committee seeks members who possess skills in organizational development, team building, diversity training and
interracial dialogue. Women and girls who work and/or live in highly diverse environments or who are known in our community for
their commitment to diversity and inclusiveness would be considered assets to the committee as well.

Leadership Development Committee
This committee is responsible for overseeing the recruitment and training of board and committee members for The Women’s
Fund. The committee seeks members who possess skills in the disciplines of Leadership Development and training.
Chair: Gemma Saluta (gsaluta@wcsr.com) No set meeting dates
Membership Committee
This committee oversees all membership recruitment activities. The committee recruits new members, develops and maintains a
speakers bureau, and works to retain members. This committee seeks members to help plan recruiting opportunities and develop
activities that keep members engaged.
Chair: Amy Justice (amy.justice@outfitters4.com ) Meets 2nd Friday of the month at noon at WSF Offices
Marketing and Public Relations Committee
This committee is responsible for both internal communications to members as well as external promotion of The Women’s Fund.
The committee seeks members who possess skills in the disciplines of marketing, public relations, media relations, writing, and
design.
Chair: Lamaya Williams (lcovingtonwilliams@gmail.com ) Meets 1st Wednesday of the month at 1pm at TWF
Research, Education and Advocacy Committee
This committee is responsible for the collection and analysis of data and information regarding Forsyth County women and girls
across The Women’s Fund focus areas. The committee also develops educational events and advocacy activities focused on issues
that impact women and girls. The committee seeks members who possess basic or advanced skills in the disciplines of research
and evaluation and/or who have a keen sense of the needs of women and girls in the community through their professional or
private work.

Resource Development Committee
This committee oversees all fundraising, along with acquisition of gifts for The Women's Fund Endowment and special initiatives.
This committee seeks members who have skills or interest in different types of fundraising.
