Rationale:
Evangelism should be a lifestyle for the Christian and the church, not just a program. It is a command of Christ and is expected of all Christians and all churches.
Evangelism should come naturally, but things that should come naturally, rarely do.
Objectives:
1) To know the nature of evangelism and its role in the church
2) To know the basic context of an evangelistic message
3) To know the characteristics of churches that exhibit excellence in evangelism
4) To develop personal confidence in leading a person to faith in Christ and discipleship.
5) To enable to student to express the gospel with accuracy and confidence
6) To enable the student to lead the evangelistic program of a local church

Assignments:
Peterson book review. Student will write a three page review of the Peterson book. This is due on March 2 nd
.
Personal Evangelism Plan. Student will produce an evangelistic presentation of the gospel. This should include an outline of the gospel and appropriate scripture references.
This will be due on April 27 th
.
Rainer book review. Student will write a three page review of the Rainer Book. This is due on May 4 th
.
Role Play. Student will role play, with a fellow student, an evangelistic presentation.
The role plays will be done in class on May 4 th .
Policies:
1) Computers may only be used for legitimate educational purposes. No email. No
Facebook. No texting.
2) I must receive a hard copy of all written assignments.
3) The professor reserves the right to alter this plan.
