You must study the applicant guide. YOU WILL NOT PASS IF YOU DO NOT STUDY AND KNOW
THE MATERIAL!!!!!
Keep in mind, even years of field experience will not prepare you to take this test. You must study and
know the material in the study guide to pass.
Have someone quiz you on the information in the study guide. Study for short periods over weeks
instead of cramming everything in one or two days.
The higher level you want to achieve the longer you will need to study. Write down any questions you
may have and bring them to class.
The Day of the Test:
1.
2.
Bring calculator, #2 pencil, photo ID, and your social security number. You will be able to use the
temperature-pressure chart in the back of the study guide.
Do not come to class with the assumption that we will cover everything needed to pass the test.
