The courses will be delivered every Wednesday morning, 09.30-12.30 at the YMCA in Bridgend. Booking is not always essential, you are welcome to turn up at the YMCA on a Wednesday morning, but to avoid disappointment, book online at www.clybiauplantcymru.org Course Title CV Writing Writing Job Applications Interviewing Skills Child Protection STEPS to Personal Excellence and Success Emergency First Aid at Work Description How to present your skills and experience effectively to potential employers how to compete them – this session will cover paper and online applications and looks at ways of highlighting your strengths and experience concisely how to make your application stand out from other applicants write an effective covering letter This session will give you the tools to make a good first impression, present yourself well and tips for responding to interview questions. Plus the Do’ and Don’t’s of asking questions. This course provides information and guidance about child protection issues for staff working in childcare settings. The course, developed with the NSPCC, gives participants the knowledge to recognise the signs of child abuse, respond to children and report concerns. Good practice in the preparation of child protection policies and procedures will be reviewed. A certificate of attendance will be awarded to participants who attend a full workshop. Developing positive thinking skills. This programme will help you to build your confidence and to see how much you are truly capable of achieving and offers the tools to make it happen. A practical course which will give the knowledge, skills and confidence to deal with medical emergencies including infant, child and adult resuscitation. The course meets the requirements of the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales [CSSIW]. Participants gain a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification that is valid for three years. This course is accredited by the All Wales Ambulance Service Ltd, an HSE registered organisation.
