ORDERING INFORMATION
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
Prices – named in this list cancel all previous lists and are subject to change without notice. All prices listed are F.O.B., Grottoes, Virginia. Plant material is sold in containers or balled & burlaped and is
noted as such.
Terms – Cash with order unless approved credit is established. For those with established credit, we offer a 2% DISCOUNT on plant material only, for payment in full within 10 days from invoice date,
provided there is nothing else owed on account. The 2% discount does not apply to C.O.D. orders. Approved open accounts are NET 30 days. Accounts over 30 days are considered overdue and subject
to a 1.5% monthly finance charge. This is an annual rate of 18%. ALL PAYMENTS ARE APPLIED TO FINANCE CHARGE FIRST AND THE BALANCE TO THE OLDEST INVOICE AMOUNT.
Open account status is reviewed and may become C.O.D. on any account over 60 days. There is a $25 service charge on any returned check. As a convenience for our customers we now accept, VISA,
MASTERCARD and AMERICAN EXPRESS, discounts are not allowed for credit card payments.
Sales Tax – Under the Virginia Sales and Use Tax Act, we are required to collect 5% tax on gross sales made in Virginia unless the buyer files an Exemption Certificate with us.
Minimum Order – For delivery, there is a minimum order of $1,500. There is no minimum on orders picked up at our nursery.
Business Hours – Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Claims – Orders are accepted subject to stock on hand and unsold, and with the understanding that they should be void should injury befall the stock from flood, drought, frost, fire, error in count or other
causes beyond our control. We give no guarantee expressed or implied as to the life and productiveness of any nursery stock since we have no control after it leaves our nursery. Claims for any cause
should be made in writing within 3 days after receipt of stock, otherwise it is considered satisfactory.
Pick-up Orders – Customers wishing to pick up their order will be notified when their order is ready. Please try to have your truck arrive no later than 2:00 pm unless prior arrangements have been
made. Be sure to bring tarpaulins or suitable coverings to protect your plants on your truck. Even a short trip without proper cover can dry out or wind burn your plants. PLEASE CALL IN ADVANCE,
we will have order ready by the time your truck arrives.
Shipping – We ship on our own trucks.
Freight Charges – are NET, payable to Shreckhise Nurseries and due C.O.D.

WHEN TRAVELING SOUTH ON I-81 – at Harrisonburg exit #245. Take VA 253 East to the small village of Port Republic where you will cross two river bridges. After you cross the second bridge
you will immediately turn right onto South River Road (VA 825) and travel south a little over a mile until you reach the Grottoes town limits. Upon entering Grottoes, take the first street to the right (20th
Street), go two blocks to our office on the corner of 20th Street & Forest Ave.
WHEN TRAVELING WEST ON I-64 – at Waynesboro-Sherando exit #96. Take VA 624 North into Waynesboro to the first stoplight. VA 624 becomes US 340 North as you go straight through this
intersection. You will go North on Rt. 340 approximately 13 miles to Grottoes. As you enter the town, go three/tenths of a mile past the town limit sign to Rt. 256 West. Turn left on Rt. 256. Proceed
west for ½ mile to Dogwood Avenue (Rt. 825). Turn right – go north on Dogwood to 20th Street. There is a white and green sign there for the Town Park, turn left onto 20 th Street and go two blocks to
our office on the corner 20th Street and Forest Avenue.
WHEN TRAVELING NORTH ON I-81 – at Weyers Cave exit #235. Take VA 256 East for approximately 7 miles. As you enter Grottoes, go 5 blocks to Dogwood Avenue (also marked Rt. 825).
There is a car wash, funeral home and Herby’s Deli at this intersection. Turn left onto Dogwood Avenue and go North to 20th Street where there is a white and green sign for Town Park. Turn left and go
2 blocks to our office on the corner of 20th Street and Forest Ave.

WHERE IS GROTTOES, VIRGINIA?
We are located in the mid-western portion of Virginia between the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountains near the center of the Shenandoah Valley. The name Grottoes means “caverns”, many of which
are located throughout the valley. The cities Waynesboro, Staunton and Harrisonburg are within a twenty-mile radius. Two major highways, Interstates 81 and 64 intersect at Staunton, twenty miles
south of us. The Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport is only five miles west of our nursery.
