Capital Region Collaboration for Technology Education.

Introduction
The project is a Treasure Hunt. Students will use the Treasure Hunt to search for information
about the famous men and women of the American Revolution.
Learners
The students who will be using this Treasure Hunt are 7th grade social studies students.
Resources
The students need in order to complete this project will need: A computer lab and Internet
connection.
Standards
New York State Standard 1:
Students will use a variety of intellectual skills to demonstrate their understanding of major
ideas, eras, themes, developments, and turning points in the history of the United States and
New York.
Process
My students will use this project during a unit on the American Revolution. The students will
go to the computer lab during class and use the Treasure Hunt.

Evaluation
Following the completion of the project, the correct answers will be reviewed and the students
will write a short essay answering the project’s “Big Question.”
