Schedule
□
Students will have to write a sentence for each
“clue” left in a box. A subject will be connected to each item. Based off of the clue, they will need to write a complete sentence using that subject.
□
In groups of 3-4 people, students will read the directions to play a game of time dominoes.
The first student to go out or has the least amount of dominoes at the end of the game wins.
□
Students will answer questions about a student’s schedule in Spanish using “venir a + time” and class vocabulary
1.
Take a crossword puzzle and begin to work on it. The crossword contains verb conjugations in the present tense including –ar verbs, querer, and ir.
2.
Read each clue and write the translation in the appropriate box.
3.
You may work together as a group, but everyone must turn in their own copy.
4.
When time is up, put your puzzles in the folder on the table.
1.
Grab a sheet of lined paper.
2.
Inside the box are several “clues” that represent different tener expressions along with a sticky note with a subject on it.
3.
Open the box and examine each clue.
4.
Once you figure out which tener expression it represents, write a sentence using the subject on the sticky note. Make sure the verb and subject match!
5.
Once it is time to change stations, place all of the clues back in the box and close it for the next group!
6.
When time is up, put your papers in the folder on the table.
Starting:
1.
Put the dominoes face down on the table and mix them up.
2.
Each player takes 6 dominos; for a game with more than 3 players, each player should draw 3 dominos.
3.
The remaining dominoes are left on the table. Don't let the other players see your dominos.
4.
The youngest player goes first.
Playing:
1.
The first player places one of their dominoes (right-side up) on the table.
2.
The second player tries to put a domino on the table that matches the time in English or Spanish of what's already there. If a player cannot go, the player picks a domino from the pile and skips that turn.
3.
The chain of the played dominoes develops randomly, and can look a lot like a snake.
4.
Continue taking turns putting dominoes on the board (or picking one from the pile if you cannot go) until someone wins. In regular dominoes, the best strategy is to get rid of doubles first.
Winning:
1.
The winner is the first person to get rid of all of their dominoes. But if no one can go out, then the person with the fewest dominos left is the winner.
1.
Take the following schedule from a REAL Spanish-speaking school I found on an internet website.
2.
Take a worksheet that contains questions about the schedule.
3.
Answer the questions in complete sentences!
4.
You may work as a group, but everyone must turn in their own copy!
5.
When time is up, put your papers in the folder on the table.
