Curriculum Ramaz Chikviladze Bass
Ramaz Chikviladze was born in 1973 in Georgie. He graduated in singing in 1998 with
Nodar Andguladze at the conservatorium Vano Saragishvili in Tbilisi.
He has sung the next five years as a solist at the Tbilisi Opera. In 2000/2001, he was
engaged in the Ghelikon Opera in Moscau and in the Ekaterinburg Opera, in Russia.
In 2001 he sang the Commendatore (Don Giovanni) in the X° Festival d'Osimo, Italy,
and made his debut at the Festival della Valle d'Itria.
He has sung Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte), Masetto (Don Giovanni), Il Sacerdote (Tosca),
Il Re (Aïda); Sparafucile and Monterone (Rigoletto), Banco (Macbeth), Gremin
(Eugène Oniegin).
Under the suggestion of M° Marco Guidarini he made an audition for CNIPAL and entered
in the ensemble in the season 2002/2003. He has worked with Yvonne Minton and Mady
Mesplé, M° Christian von Gehren, the directors Jeannette Aster, Robert Fortune and JeanMarc Forêt.
In 2003, he sang Fiesco’s "Il lacerato spirito" (Simon Boccanegra), for the CNIPAL,
inToulon Opera.
He also sang some récitals in Marseille and Avignon Operas, with a Verdi programme,
Glinka and Tchaïkovsky.
With CNIPAL he performed at the Opéra in Marseille pieces of Entfuehrung and Don
Giovanni under the conduction of Christian von Gehren and the direction of Jean-Marc
Forêt.
From 2003 he has sung at the ensemble of the Opernstudio at the Bayerische Staatsoper
in Muenchen. In 2003 he was Don Prudenzio (Il Viaggio a Reims) at the Rossini Opera
Festival in Pesaro.
He sang the Sostakovitch 14th Symphony in Cannes, conducted by Philippe Bender and
Elias by Mendelssohn in 2003/2004 in Avignon with M° François-Xavier Bilger.
In 2004 he sang the role of Mandarino (Turandot) at the Montpellier Opera where he will
be the Zweiter soldat (Salomé) in 2005.
In 2005/ 2006 he sung as Sarastro at the Reims Grand Théâtre.
Since 2005 is in the ensemble of the Opera in Dortmund, where he sang several roles like
Leporello, Sarastro etc..

In 2007 in the ensemble of the Opera in Bonn where he sang several roles like Leporello,
Sarastro, Commendatore, Attila, Zaccaria, Sparafucile, Monterone, Tom, Don Bartolo,
Osmin, Fafner, Mefistofele, Zar Dodon.
In 2009 he will sing Die Entfuhrung aus dem serail in Bonn.
