(Chapter numbers are listed) Essay Questions 1. The Development of Feudalism—Discuss/Define what feudalism was and why it began. Be able to explain the differences in social classes of people, for example, providing descriptions of what daily life was like for peasants (serfs), knights, lords, etc. 24 2. The achievements of Greece and Rome—You must be able to list and describe the major achievements of the Greeks and Romans. Discuss at least three different contributions each culture used and developed that have left a lasting impact on our own culture here in the United States. Create a travel brochure (booklet) that would encourage tourists to take a vacation there. Create this as if the culture is still thriving. In other words, don’t describe the ruins of the Colosseum, describe it as if its gladiatorial events were still taking place there. Detailed Instructions: Section 1: Write the name of the location (for example: “Valient Vikings”) and draw a picture of the location. Section 3: At the top of the section write the name of a specific site/place in this culture that every vacationer has to see. Draw a picture of the site and write about why tourists should see it.
