Box 818 Spotsylvania, VA 22553 PHONE: (540) 507-7916 FAX: (540) 582-6957 Training Notice Summer 2007 6th Annual VDFP Driver/Operator: Pumper Course Description: This 48-hour, 4 module course provides detailed instruction on the operation, maintenance and design of pumping apparatus. Additional Practical Sessions Have Been Added - The modules include: Module 2, Water Supplies for Fire Fighting; Module 3, Fire Pump Theory; Module 4, Fire Service Hydraulics; And Module 5, Operating Fire Pumps. Prerequisites: Minimum Firefighter 1, EVOC 3, and full turnout gear. Pumper apparatus familiarity recommended. (Module 1 is EVOC. EVOC 3 required before VDFP issues DPO certificate.) Materials Needed: The following materials will be needed for each class: IFSTA Driver Operator Handbook ($27.00), IFSTA Student Applications Curriculum ($19.00), Pencil/Pen, Calculator, and Paper. The IFSTA Driver Operator Handbook Study Guide is recommended but not required.
