ISIHAC (I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue)
Last Edited: 01-May-2008 A Global British Comedy Collaborative document.
Edited by John Lucas and Bryn Meek
Identifying episodes of ISIHAC is harder than for many programmes. In addition to regular series broadcasts, there are broadcast
compilations and cassette compilations. Although the cassettes often have Humph’s introductions to a particular city, a cassette side may
well have segments from several shows in different cities and have even combine show segments within a single “track.” Even the
introductions are often spliced from two separate shows in the same city.
As a result, this listing goes into much greater detail to facilitate comparing episodes from other collections. Locations, first segments, cast
members, producers, and internal references to seasons, positions within series and other clues can help to identify an episode.
Eventually, all compilation and cassette segments will have pointers to the presumed source segments, where known. Cassette 1-1 probably
compiles segments from the 1980’s, for which we do not have broadcast shows. The cassettes are located within the chronological
sequence following the presumed primary source episodes of each and are flagged in “aqua” highlight.
Aqua is also used to denote series first and last episode remarks for dating and for data in question.
Sincere thanks are due Mark McKay and Kevin Hale for detailed information and corrections.

This series of eight shows from 1988 (from Peter Chadwick) does not correspond to the various series catalogues. Was there a season of repeats in 1988? If the shows were
repeats, they can only be from the 1987 series as that was the first season with Paul Spencer as producer and the only such series to antedate 1988. Can anyone supply
authoritative identifications?

S38e01a This is an amateur recording in the audience of the entire recording
S38e02a sessions for S38e01 and S38e01. The recording presents
considerable problems as the audience is very audible but the
performers are not. This show was received in two MP3 files. It
would take considerable editing to invert the material to the normal
relationship. This has not been done. You’ll need to crank your
volume all the way up to hear the performance and most of the way
down for the audience laughter and applause.
