Why 1SOURCE?
We needed a new system that would give us the ability to link into other suppliers,
as STAystudent/@comres limited us to just one link with Exclusively Hotels.
1SOURCE allows us to link into many more suppliers to offer a greater breadth of
product, better availability & improved pricing.
The long term vision is 1SOURCE for all land suppliers!
Why do we need more suppliers when we have our own product?
We can negotiate really good rates where we have volume – i.e. hostels and 1-2
star hotels. However, we don’t have huge volume for hotels in the 3 star plus
category so linking into other suppliers who have the best buying power in these
regions is the way forward.
What’s better ?







It looks better!
Easier to quote and for the quote to update in your folder i.e. quotes won’t
get stuck in your 1VIEW folder anymore!
You can see commission amounts by product – but can hide when showing
your screen to customers.
You can add additional accommodations much more easily to existing
bookings via the NEW Shopping Cart facility. This means that building up
detailed land packages & itineraries is easier and faster!
For non-accommodation product, it is now easier to search as you do not
need to specify the exact departure date and duration – you can search on
a date range & duration range instead!
Maps will plot our new supplier’s products too (except Tour East & Qantas
who do not provide locations to us), you can even zoom in to regions or
search for hotels by a region of the city!
There is now an internal message option to send messages to your Local
Stay Help Team – useful if you want to ask them a question regarding your
booking.
Who is AOT/Tourico/TE/EH and why do we use them ?
AOT Inbound is the largest inbound tour operator in Australia / New Zealand. The
company provides a comprehensive range of accommodation & transfer product
across Australia & New Zealand.
Established in 1972, Tour East is one of Asia Pacific's leading Destination
Management Companies. Tour East offers accommodation & transfers in Singapore,
Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia & Thailand.
Tourico Holidays is one of the fastest growing worldwide wholesale travel
providers with more than 23,000 accommodation agreements. As a global
provider, they offer hotel choice in destinations such as Nairobi to Monaco to Puno
and San Francisco.

Exclusively Hotels are a bedbank who link in to multiple providers (around 15
different sources). We use them because their product range covers every corner
of the world and as they link into so many partners they only show the cheapest
price.

 Branded hotel chains, boutique hotels, resort apartments, independent

With all these additional suppliers why do we need to have STAy product?
STAy product gives us differentiation, and channelling volume to STAy contracts is
preferred, as volume is king - the more we book, the better the deals we will get.
Plus these products continue to be our tried, tested and true accommodations that
appeal to the larger range of our target market from the backpacking hostellers to
the young professionals who want the unique boutique accommodations, so we
know the product is great!
“The Big Switch”
It’s been a huge task to load STAy product into 1SOURCE – there are over 3500
products! We have done the background work over the last 6 months, but now we
have the task of turning this product ON in 1SOURCE.
Sunday 1st April - Over a third of products will be available on the very first day –
this will be all FREESALE & REQUEST products.
Monday 2nd to 30th April – Remaining STAy ALLOCATION products will be moved
from @comres to 1SOURCE throughout April. Key sellers will be moved first.
We will keep you informed of which products are where, via “The Big Switch” page
on the STAy Intranet – STAyTuned!
We will update this daily with the status of how many products have been moved
across so you can always check there to find your product.
If in doubt, please contact your local STAy Help Team and they will be able to
advise.
What happens to my STAystudent/@comres booking ?
ALL bookings made in the STAystudent/@comres system will remain there – we
are not moving any bookings.
April 2012 - You will still be able to access your STAystudent/@comres bookings
and cancel as normal. You may not be able to amend an STAystudent/@comres
booking if we have already moved this product to be available in 1SOURCE.
From the 1st May 2012 - access to STAystudent/@comres will be removed for all
Sales Consultants around the world. Bookings will only be accessible by your local
STAy Help team, so you will need to contact them if you need to amend or cancel
you booking.
STAy have put together 3 “quick cards” with the processes for Sales consultants to
use for their STAystudent/@comres bookings during and after April 2012. Please
contact your local STAy Help team if you have any questions.
System support
The standard support process for system/technical issues with 1SOURCE is through
HEAT. These will be investigated by the 1SOURCE support team and responded to
as quickly as possible.
Please ensure that you give as much detail as possible in your HEAT call – i.e. the
1SOURCE (not 1VIEW folder no) and exact details of the problem. Otherwise there
may be a delay in dealing with your issue.
Your local STAy Help team is also available and trained to help you deal with any
1SOURCE booking issues, so please contact them as usual.
