Name Biography Chris Pink-Chair Mr. Pink is the Chair of the Underfrequency Load Shedding Review Group and a drafting team member for the original PRC-006-WECC-CRT-1, Underfrequency Load Shedding project. Merrill Brimhall Mr. Brimhall has 35 years of experience in the electric power industry. He began his career at WSCC and PacifiCorp doing a variety of engineering tasks including transmission planning, substation design, transmission line design and economics. Mr. Brimhall also worked as a project manager in the generation department and worked on completion of a number of Wind farm installations. Nathan Powell Mr. Powell has 13 years of experience in power systems: planning, engineering, design, system assessments, compliance, supervision, interconnection studies, published research, modeling and simulations. His degrees are as follows: Bachelor of Science – Electrical Engineering - Brigham Young University Master of Science – Electrical Engineering - University of Idaho W. Shannon Black Mr. Black holds his Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Bakersfield and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, Sacramento, CA. Mr. Black has been involved with mandatory standards since 2007 serving in contracts, regulatory, and compliance roles with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) from 1998 through 2008 and with the WECC Standards Department from 2008 to present. Mr. Black has moderated over 400 drafting team meetings and brought to conclusion an estimated 40 WECC projects developed under the Reliability Standards Development Procedures (Procedures) or their predecessor processes.
