St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Mission Statement We, the Roman Catholic Parish of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Bear, Delaware, are an all-embracing, diverse Christian community who warmly welcomes everyone to join us. We draw closer to God and one another through worship, which nourishes us for service to our brothers and sisters. We choose to combine our many gifts to teach, celebrate, evangelize, help those in need and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus in word and deed. NOTES FROM FR. ROGER RCIA continues on a strong track for this year. RCIA for adults and children has been meeting for well over a month now and the individuals involved are doing very well. The individuals are beginning to form a community in which they can learn about their faith and where they can ask the hard questions. This Sunday, October 30th at the 11:00 am Mass we celebrate with the RCIA candidates the "Rite of Welcoming". We officially welcome them, bless them, and promise to continue to pray for them all the way to the Easter Vigil next spring. This ceremony is always one of great joy. The new members help us to see God's blessing upon us. The new members help us to continue to grow as a community. The new members help us to see that our faith still does make a difference in the world. The world hungers and the Church has the Word of God and the Bread of Life. How blest we are to be Christian and how blest we are when others want to join us in our spiritual journey.
