Structure
Experiment
•
6000 KN multipurpose structural testing
frame, Hydraulic Rams-31/2 Tons and 20
Tons. The testing frame accommodates
the testing of many different types of
structures and structural components.
•
The base of the frame consists of four
HYS steal grillage units each, 2.7 square
which are interchangeable on all four
sides. The fur steel grillage may be used
separately or coupled together to form a
5.4 m square array test bed. As an
alternative they may be joined in line to
give a test bed of area of 2.7 m by 10.8
m. the super structure selected for the
erection on the steel grillages consist of
standard steel columns and beam of.
Almost any kind of structure such as,
walls, beams, slabs, columns and shells
could be erected on the grillages units
for full scale testing. The loading is
applied by means of centrally operated
hydraulic jacks and loads are measured
by load cells.
