The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department has developed the
attached flow charts related to calculating payments for displaced business, increased
interest, closing cost, rental subsidy and replacement housing.

process used for both residential and commercial properties, this information can be
found for Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) at:

This site will take the reader directly to the IDOT Land Acquisition Policies and
Procedures Manual site whereby you can either choose from several options: the 2006
Land Acquisition Manual, Download Manual, Manual Updates and Land Acquisition
Forms. When you click on the 2006 Land Acquisition Manual, it will take you to the
Table of Contents for the manual. Under the Preface is a very good synopsis of our land
acquisition process along with a flowchart depicting the various responsibilities in Land
Acquisition and how they fit together. For a more concise understanding of the
relocation process, click on Chapter 6 in the Table of Contents. One of the exhibits, LA
6019B Relocation Assistance Check List provides a mechanism for the relocation agent
to make sure he/she has followed the relocation assistance procedures and provided the
displaced person(s) with all of their eligible relocation assistance.

While we certainly have applicable written procedures as required, we have not
developed any flow charts that are in compliance with the Final Rule as of yet. All of the
flow charts that we do have are over a decade old and need to be updated if they are to
be used or disseminated.
We would actually appreciate receiving the results of this survey for our own benefit.
