The War Memorial was unveiled on Saturday October 1st 1921. It
is of Derbyshire stone, solid and plain in character: the cross
surmounting a base of masonry of substantial construction. The
site, in the middle of the village, was given by Major Gibson,
Burnside. An oak fence has been placed around the enclosure.
