A deep love for learning started with Juliet Clawson when she was very young, as her mother instilled in her a desire to explore, discover and create. Through the years, Juliet has studied and taught many subjects to all levels of students from toddlers through adults. In college, she was pre-med and enjoyed the hands-on labs in her biology, anatomy, inorganic, and organic chemistry classics. Since, graduating from UCSB, Juliet has shared her love of education by creating and teaching classes in architecture, a science-based "adventure club" for boys, an adult classic reading group (The Compass Group), and Art by the Masters (www.artbythemasters.com), an art program that uses studies of the great artists from history to teach elements and techniques of art. She continues to teach a broad scope subjects in science, art, Shakespeare and classic literature. A strong proponent of Leadership Education, Juliet believes in using classics and the mentor relationship to inspire her students in her classes. She is the co-founder of Millennial Heritage Academy (mhatemecula.org) and co-organizer of the annual Choices in Education Conference.
