throughout the organisation.
Currently managing both Engineering & Production departments and
implementing Toyota Way lean principles throughout both departments. Developed various lean training
materials and trained staff in various lean tools such as 5S, standard work, problem solving and one piece flow.
Increased and will continue to increase manufacturing productivity in production department. Continually
developing & improving standard work. Implemented 5S & visual management including visual metrics

NISSAN MOTOR MANUFACTURING UK LTD
Working as part of the Nissan Global Lean Team responsible for applying Lean Manufacturing principles in
various areas of the company to ensure Nissan continued to be the most productive plant in Europe. Worked in
both UK and Japanese (Oppama) Nissan plants. Lead and implemented both small and large scale JIT / Kaizen
activities and continuous improvement programs. Planned and designed various manufacturing processes
including cell & main line design, workflow and assembly methods. Routinely reduced cycle time and
improved efficiency on new and existing installations. Designed, developed and supervised installation of new
manufacturing processes for new Nissan models including Nissan Micra, Almera, Primera & Quashqai.
Benchmarked against best of the best automotive manufacturers to improve competitiveness. Designed &
developed tooling / special purpose machinery including relevant documentation. Resolved day to day
manufacturing and quality concerns using various Lean Tools. Set and adhered to both Capital and revenue
budgets. Most recent project was a 25% increase in productivity giving an annual saving of 28 million dollars
within the body assembly division (project details available upon request.)
MANUFACTURING ENGINEER, 1990 – 1998
ELECTROLUX OUTDOOR PRODUCTS LTD
Working as a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for managing new projects from concept to production.
Improved & developed the manufacturing process within the injection moulding and assembly division.
Introduced new technologies and automation into the manufacturing environment to improve productivity &
quality. Manufactured fixed automation special purpose machinery including control panel design &
manufacture. Installed & commissioned new assembly lines including robotics. Served Manufacturing
Technician apprenticeship from 1990 to 1995 undertaking in depth training in the following fundamental
engineering skills: milling, fabrication, turning, electrical, electronics, technical drawing, health & safety,
communications, materials & their processing, common hand & power tools, systems, measurement in
