General Description (Purpose and Function):
The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Functional Lead directs the functional activities, analysis and re-design of
functional requirements. This individual is responsible for creation of the test plan and training materials necessary to
develop and implement the ERP solution. The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Functional Lead is generally a
subject matter expert.
The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Functional Lead is tasked with being the primary focal point within the
enterprise for the design, development and implementation of functional portions of the project.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (For Non-exempt Employees Include Percent of Effort):
 Defines ERP business needs, business processes, flows and diagrams.
 Prioritizes user requirements and functional requirements.
 Documents all business processes, needs, flows and diagrams.
 Writes reports, document and present analyses, project status, risks and issues.
 Evaluates resources for each task.
 Identifies tasks and interrelationships to evaluate functional and cross-functional requirements.
 Researches existing systems and procedures and make changes and improvise wherever necessary.
 Recommends solutions to identified problems.
 Provides ongoing support to business units.
 Ensures delivery of projects on time.
 Participates in cross-functional, cross- discipline project teams to better leverage the Enterprise
Resource Planning systems
 Supports the ERP initiatives in design, development and implementation of plans to translate enterprise
information system objectives into functional business systems.
 Identifies gaps and addresses them actively in collaboration with the project team.
 Coordinates information/data changes that occur as part of system life cycle to ensure consistency.
 Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or
where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion.
 Serves as the lead on the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Project Team.
Authority
 Develops and implement methodologies and techniques that improve efficiency and enhance
productivity.
 Provides functional operational leadership in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) team.
 Identifies potential problems before they occur and implement solutions.
 Reviews workload and staffing requirements, make recommendations regarding employment,
promotions, salary adjustments, and termination. Performs employee performance evaluations.
 Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements (Essential Requirements):
 BS degree required.
Work Experience Requirements (Essential Requirements):
 Five (5) to Ten (10) years’ experience at the University.
 Experience in an environment customer contacts and knowledge are leveraged to listed proactively for
service management improvements opportunities.
