You will be taking a journey through the development of several ancient civilizations. You will be challenged with interesting projects and activities that will promote and enhance creativity and critical thinking. We will focus on relevant current events and work on our writing and presentation skills. I) Area of Study… Geography : Knowledge and Skills A. Attitude I expect that you will show the greatest respect for yourself, your peers and me. 2. Homework Homework is due at the beginning of class. Deductions: 10% first day, and 2% off every day thereafter.. 3. Attendance Excellent attendance is mandatory for success in this class. You must make up all work, even if you were sick. If the work has been handed back to the others, you must do the work in my class at lunch or after school. 4. Flashcards Students who use flashcards to study improve their marks dramatically! At the end of each chapter, you will be responsible for handing in a set of flashcards illustrating important concepts and terms for the chapter. Please bring a few to every class, as we will use them to review our understanding of class material. 5. Work Habit Be on time for class, attend every class, be a contributing member of our class, complete homework assignments that meet Windermere requirements, and stay on task for seatwork.
