Detailed Sprint Plan See <Columns> in Appendix A: Spreadsheet – Requirements, Estimates, Initial Sprint Plan [Type the document title] [Type the team Name] 3 Assumptions We have to assume that Positive Assumptions Likelihood (H,M,L) Impact (H,M,L) Response Everybody is able to find a working computer H M This will be critical, now we will be able to complete our tasks for the day We work ahead of time, and are able to be ahead with our tasks L M This can help us progress quicker and with extra time on our hands, we will have time to look over our work more to prevent mistakes. All members of the group are present M M We will be able to have meetings in order to ensure that all members are on the same page and up to date. Everyone is attentive and focused at work L H If this is possible, we will be able to get a lot of work done in a shorter period of time. We find additional features for our game M M This will make our game more interesting and will attract more users. 4 [Type the document title] [Type the team Name] Risks Risk description Likelihood (H, M, L) M Impact (H,M,L) M Not finding a computer that functions properly during class time to work on. M M One of our team members is missing for a long period of time. H M A team member is suddenly missing from our team and we have absolutely no contact with them. M M We forget to add something in our game which is most vital in order to play or operate the game. Losing all our contacts (including the phone #s of our group members) on our phone. L L When doing a task, we always double check and proofread the work before finalizing it. M M We will be sure to put all of our group members’ numbers in more than one place where we will also not lose it. Computer crashing Response Our back-up plan for this problem would be to always have two people ready to send a document and to never hand-in documents on the due date or last minute. This way even if the computer does crash on the due date, we will still have our project handed in before it. It is likely to not be able to find a computer that works during class time due to technical difficulties. In order to prevent this, we could all bring an extra device in case of any technological difficulties Our group is often short of one person therefore we always give that team member a minor task or even the tasks that are the least important. This way even if that task was not completed, it wouldn’t really affect the actual game. We always make sure that two or more people have a copy of the work that was done by the group member in case of any emergency. [Type the document title] [Type the team Name] Finishing tasks behind schedule M H All the work is lost L H 5 We will need to work efficiently in order to finish our tasks on time. Not being able to finish on time will have a major effect on all our tasks (can lead to rushing). We make sure to save our work often and to share our work with the teammates so everybody has a copy. Appendix A: Spreadsheet – Requirements, Estimates, Initial Sprint Plan Spreadsheet to be submitted by April 15th, 2014 under Appendix A 6 [Type the document title] [Type the team Name] Appendix B: Map Provide the map of your game environment, including all relationships between spaces, locations of all objects and characters. Give each space, object and character a unique name. House: There characters in the Abandoned base: There are characters in the base. Zombee Hive: meets the queen interacts with are no house. military no military The player bee and her. [Type the document title] [Type the team Name] 7 Appendix C: Art Design Overall project look and feel (fonts, colours, style) Sketches and notes for included art For our project, we will be choosing art that reflects our theme for our game, which is sci-fi/horror/adventure. For our title, we were looking for a font that reflects the horror side of our game to make it seem more appealing. We want a font that is blotchy and that looks stained (possibly with blood). For the actual words in the game, we want a font that is legible. If the font is too fancy, the player will have a hard time reading the messages, especially since our game needs fast thinking (with our puzzles). We should probably stick to a font that can be read quickly and easily such as Times New Roman. The picture that will represent our game will be our logo. Our logo is a zombee surrounded by fire. 8 [Type the document title] [Type the team Name] Appendix D: Narrative outline Narrative outline to be submitted by April 16th, 2014 under Appendix D [Type the document title] [Type the team Name] 9 Appendix E: Video Treatments Describe each video you will include and justify its inclusion. What is it’s purpose in the game? Highly recommended that you include the storyboards here 1st video: Bedroom Character wakes up in friend’s house. He looks out the window and sees giant killer bees outside. His friend is nowhere to be seen. He looks around the room and sees a desk with a laptop, a pencil case and a lamp. This video will show the beginning of the story and give a visual idea for the viewers. It will help them better understand where they are, what they’re doing, what’s around them. 2nd video: Mission description Blue/green background Execute retinal scan State the mission (get rid of all the zombees) and show a picture of the bees 1 0 [Type the document title] [Type the team Name] Finish by giving details of the mission This video will show the player what his/her mission in this game is. It will provide details about the mission so the player isn’t too confused while playing. 3rd video: Entering military base Show the entire outside (compound) of the military base. The character enters through the front and sees a hallway. This video will give a brief overview of the outside of the military compound so the player can have an image of it in his/her head when entering the compound. 4th video: Entering the beehive Show the outside of the beehive Character enters and see the hallways and doors This video has about the same purpose as the previous one (the one about the military compound). Since the beehive is very complicated and has many trap rooms, the player will most likely need an overview of the outside of the hive. Again, this will help the player better understand what to do. [Type the document title] [Type the team Name] Appendix F Describe the sounds/music you intend to include and justify its inclusion. What is its purpose in the game? What style will you use? Sounds/music to be submitted by April 15th, 2014. 1 1 1 2 [Type the document title] [Type the team Name] Team Commitment Signatures The undersigned team members have participated in the preparation of this plan, and agree that they will contribute to the best of their abilities to meeting the goals of this project in a timely way.
