POSITION : CONSULTANT: ORGANISATION DESIGN & COMPETENCIES DIVISION : HUMAN CAPITAL SERVICES JOB TITLE : CONSULTANT: ORGANISATION DESIGN & COMPETENCIES REPORT LINE : HC PLANNING & ORGANIZATION DESIGN MANAGER SCALE CODE : 300 MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION Support the development and implementation of Human Capital plans by rendering an advisory service to the business on emerging trends, identifying risks and implementation of best practice standards. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Conduct research on Organisational design & Competencies best practice as well as applicable tools and methodologies Conduct regular updates of research and best practices on competency based Human Capital across the value chain Support the execution of HC Planning & Competencies framework development Advise, facilitate, consult & communicate HC Organisation design & Competencies needs to Business Units Act as point of contact for all HC Organisation design & Competencies related queries that are routed Conduct job evaluation and co-ordinate job evaluation committee Ensure all HC Organisation design & Competencies policies and procedures are compliant with relevant legislation Support the Manager: Organisation Development & HC Planning an Specialist Work Study in maintaining the structures of the SABC Provision of support to Manager: HC Planning & Organisation Design and Specialist work study Identify and develop workshop behavioural and technical competency frameworks for the SABC Develop competency based job profiles Ensure competency dictionaries and maps are integrated into all Human Capital Value Chain Maintain and review competency maps for all positions Assist with job analysis and design Generate submissions for approvals of job grading outcomes Ensure job grade parity across SABC Plan for future HC requirements using Workforce planning forecast , career progression model , replacement and succession planning framework Ensure alignment between SAP organisation charts and practice QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Appropriate qualification at NQF level 6 in Behavioural Sciences or equivalent as well as a sound understanding of HC Planning, Competencies & HR Accounting. 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resource Management/ Organizational Design/Work Study/Workforce Planning and job grading Optional Requirements Appropriate tertiary qualification at NQF 7 level or equivalent qualification in Behavioural Sciences 5 years’ experience in Human Resource Management / Organizational Design/Work Study/Workforce Planning and job grading Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act and the SABC’s Employment Equity initiatives.
