Law, historical, prophetic, wisdom
 realize that the books of the Bible differ in intention and style and

Pentateuch—means “five scrolls” and refers to the first five books of the
Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy
Torah—general Hebrew word for “law,” used to refer to the first five books
of the Bible or to all the Jewish law revealed by God in the Old Testament

Fortune cookie recipe
1/2 cup butter 1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
4 egg whites
2 tablespoons water
1/2 cup sifted flour
Melt the butter and let it cool slightly. Add sugar to egg whites and
blend until fluffy. Add flour, salt, vanilla, water, and butter to
mixture. Beat until smooth. Onto a well-greased cookie sheet, pour
batter from a spoon in 3-inch circles. Bake at 375° for 8 minutes. Put
a slip of paper containing a Scripture reference on each circle, fold
the cookie in half, and bend it in the middle to curve. If the cookies
get too hard to work with, put them back into the oven for a minute.
Option: song about God’s Word, such as “Listen, Listen”; “Open Our Ears”;
“Speak, Lord” from Remember Your Love; or “Happy Those Who
Hear the Word of God” for SHARING #5
