Discussion Leader Rubric In a small group, you will lead a 20-30 minute lesson/discussion on one of the Improving adolescent literacy: Content area strategies at work chapters. Choose one or more topics from your assigned chapter to explore in greater detail, using other sources for deeper understanding. Remember that we have read the chapter, so pick and choose. Your presentation will go beyond a summary of the main points of your topic and engage your audience using teaching and learning strategies appropriate for teaching reading in a middle or high school level classroom. This is a chance to practice team planning and teaching, as well as sharing/demonstrating activities with the class. Please utilize technology and a handout for classmates is required.
