The Ionia County Intermediate School District is a service
Organization. Its employees provide support, special help,
and special equipment to local educators in Ionia County’s nine
public, six private / parochial, and one charter school districts.
About one - third of the staff serve constituent districts from the
Administrative Service Center. This includes general education,
alternative education, professional development, grant writing,
gifted and talented, technology, and vocational educational
programs. The balance of our employees work in the ICISD
programs and local district special education programs for the
handicapped.
The Ionia County Intermediate School District Board of
Education complies with all federal laws and regulations
of the U. S. Department of Education.
