Net ID, I-Number, & I-Card Q: What is a Net ID? A: The Net ID is used by BYU-Idaho students, employees, and retirees to access campus computers. The Net ID provides increased security as well as greater access to CES resources. You must obtain a Net ID before an I-Number and I-Card will be available to you. Q: What is an I-Number? A: An I-Number is a unique identification number for each individual. This number will be printed on your I-Card and will be used to identify yourself at various locations across campus. Q: What is an I-Card? A: The I-Card is the official BYU-Idaho ID card. All students, employees, and dependent children of full-time employees (over the age of 8) are eligible to receive an I-Card. The I-Card allows you to: provide identification, access certain campus events, check out library materials, gain admittance to the Hart Fitness Center, cash checks on campus, obtain campus event tickets, access the testing center, spend pre-deposited funds on campus, and print in the computer labs.
