You are to divide each of the eight words on the note card into word parts. Try to make sense of the word by breaking it up into its parts. Some words have two parts, some have three. For example – contestant is divided into con – prefix meaning together, test – root word meaning exam, and ant – suffix meaning one who STEP 2 – After the words are divided into their parts with appropriate definitions, then write out the definition for the whole word. For example – contestant therefore means one who comes together to take a test of some sort or one who participates in an exam or test.
