Note: All players participating in CFSL
events should register with the Chess
Federation providing their personnel
details and an annual registration fee of
Rs. 200/=. (The life membership is
2,500/=) This registration should be
renewed in each year. CFSL will issue an
ID card for the players registered and
players are obliged to provide the ID card
whenever the CFSL request them to do so.
Registration facilities will be available
throughout this event.
Colombo District Youth Chess
Championships 2016
The Chess Federation of Sri Lanka is organizing
the Colombo District Youth Chess Championships
'16 on 5th, 6th and 7th of March 2016 at Royal
College, Colombo. This is the most prestigious
Chess event for the youth chess players in the
Colombo District and winners will be eligible to
play the National Youth Chess Championships
with the selectees of 17 other districts. All those
who wish to participate in International Youth
Events must participate in this event.
Event:
There will be a total of 12 separate, individual
events (Under 08, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 years,
Open and Girls). The events will be held
according to the Swiss System over 5 rounds. If
number of players exceed 200 in an event, 6
rounds will be played.
Eligibility:
Those who are below the respective age group before the
1st of January 2016 are eligible to participate in the
event.
All Champions of National Youth Chess Championships
last year, if they are playing in the same age category,
qualify to play the National Youth Chess Championships
'16 directly. All rated players and all players who played
in the Sri Lanka National/ Women's National 'A' 2015 or
‘B’ 2016 will receive direct entry to the Sri Lanka
National Youth Chess Championships.
Venue : Royal College, Colombo.
Schedule: One round on Friday other rounds
on Saturday, and Sunday.

Awards :
Winners will be awarded with Gold, Silver and
Bronze medals and certificates and number of
players to be qualified will be announced before
the 1st round. All qualifiers will be awarded with
certificates.
Entry Fee
An entry fee of Rs. 600/= will be charged.
Discount of Rs. 200/= is given for the CFSL
Registered players.

The entries, with the relevant entry fee should
reach or handed over to the organizing committee
before the 3rd of March 2016. Special
Registration: 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm on 9th March
2016 at Royal College, Colombo.
