ADVANSTAR ACQUIRES LEADING MOTORCYCLE MAGAZINE AND WEBSITE
Woodland Hills, CA – August 27, 2007 – Advanstar Communications, Inc. – a leading
worldwide media company – today announced the acquisition of 2Wheel Tuner, a
monthly consumer publication serving the sportbike motorcycle market, and its
companion website, www.2wtmag.com. Launched in August 2004, 2Wheel Tuner has a
rapidly growing circulation base of 35,000 custom builders, riders and enthusiasts, and is
the industry’s leading source for products and events related to the active riding lifestyle.
2Wheel Tuner is the 10th print addition to Advanstar’s Powersports, and its online
counterpart, www.2wtmag.com, will contribute to the company’s strategic drive toward
continuous innovation in the electronic media sphere.
Joe Loggia, CEO of Advanstar Communicaitons, views 2Wheel Tuner as a key
acquisition in cementing Advanstar’s role as the market leader in the motorcycle
industry.

Advanstar’s acquisition of 2Wheel Tuner is the first since the company was bought by a
consortium of investors led by Veronis Suhler Stevenson in May 2007, and is indicative
